[VHD] VirtualHardDisk Management

Esta es una pequeña guía para cuando Windows pierde la cabeza y no se acuerda de como montar los discos duros virtuales del equipo, podría explayarme más pero creo que con las imágenes es más que suficiente ;)

Para abrir el registro: Ejecutar -> regedit

While working with .VHDs sometimes happen that the files lose the windows asociation to mount them, usually due new handler programs, such as Daemon Tools.

If that is your case (TL;DR Double click, doesn't mount VHD file) this is the solution.

Run -> regedit 

In the tree look for "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT", each folder inside contains the paramaters to open diferent types of files, you must find ".vhd", if doesn't exits, create it by right-clicking, New -> Key

Then, inside repeat the process making a "New -> String Value"

Leave Name as default
Complete the Tipe column with REG_SZ
Complete Data column with Windows.VhdFile

Final apearance

Now you should be allowed to attach it double clicking it, an show in "Computer"
